This section is about how to upload the various copies of your book, and where to upload them. On each module, I will provide a list of potentially helpful resources, as well as software recommendations (if applicable) these are just suggestions, or what I use, but you can use whatever you feel works best for you.

When it comes to E-Books, there are two places I like to upload my book. Again, just like the paperback, you are free to find other places to upload it if you want. E-Books are much easier to manage, as no printing is required.

KINDLE DIRECT PUBLISHING

This will be nearly identical to setting up your paperback on Amazon KDP. The only difference is you will need to adjust your prices to reflect E-book prices, and of course, upload your E-Pub file that you got from Word to Kindle (or did yourself). The rest, such as ISBNs, author names, and keywords, are all the same.

KOBO WRITING LIFE

Kobo is a massive E-Book distributor and is a big leader in the self-publishing industry. It will not do paperback for you, but it is a must have for E-Books and Audiobooks.

Just like Amazon, you will need to sign up for KWL. KWL is much the same in its setup process as Amazon’s KDP. Insert the same information, choose the categories you wish for your book to fall into, and upload your E-pub file from Word to Kindle. It should come back with no errors, and you will be good to go. Super easy. You can also download an E-Book file as your proof, and check it on your E-reader if you own one.

One thing to note is because this is an E-book and you will not be utilizing a full book jacket, you will need to save your cover as either a .jpeg or. png, and make sure it is under 50MB.
