This section is about how to upload the various copies of your book, and where to upload them. On each module, I will provide a list of potentially helpful resources, as well as software recommendations (if applicable) these are just suggestions, or what I use, but you can use whatever you feel works best for you.

ACX (Amazon)

I can see where this would confuse some people. Amazon’s audiobooks are on AUDIBLE, however, when you are uploading your books, you will be uploading them to ACX.com instead.

Uploading your audiobook is a bit different than the other versions. In particular, you will need to have your paperback book already uploaded to Amazon. The reason for this is because that is where it will draw most of the key information.

Go to your name in the top right menu in ACX’s website, and choose Add Title.

You will have to search for your book now, taken from Amazon’s database. Find your book, and choose to claim it.

When uploading your book, you will be required to upload each chapter individually as mp3 files. If you did this while recording your audiobook, then it won’t be an issue.

You will also need to upload a five-minute sample of your book, so people can listen to the sample before choosing to purchase your book. You must add an audio file that indicates both opening and closing requirements too.

Opening Credits Minimum Requirements
"[title of audiobook]"
"(subtitle if applicable)"
Written by [name of author]
Narrated by [name of narrator]

Closing Credits Minimum Requirements
The End

If you followed the how to record your Audiobook page, then your files should be accepted with no issues.

Kobo Writing Life

Follow the same steps for uploading to KWL as you did for your E-book. The only difference is like ACX, you must upload the necessary other requirements. Still, pretty straightforward.
