I have a confession to make…when it comes to formatting E-books, I simply can’t be bothered. It is such a pain, and on my first book I spent hours upon hours trying to get it just right, but when I’d fix one thing, I’d break another. I hated it, and frankly, it was a giant waste of time and effort. So unless you know what you’re doing, it’s just not worth it.
Instead, what I recommend you do is check out the website “Word to Kindle”. They will format your E-book to the proper specs for around $50. They are great to work with and prompt with their communications. I’ve used them for all my books and will continue to do so. Especially for just $50, which is saying something, because if I can do it myself, I almost always choose that option, no matter the cost. But now, if I can avoid it, I will never touch my E-Book formatting ever again. I suggest you do the same. Your time is better used elsewhere.
*Note – The $50 price tag has a limit of 5 links in your E-Book. You most likely don’t even need hyperlinks to websites in your book, so it is wise to specify. Regardless read their website and figure out what works best for you, I am sure it will be of great use.
