This section is for writers who have a great new idea, but are not quite sure how to go about writing a book. These are the things I focus on for different story drafts, how I find beta readers, and editors, right up to the final page of my book.  Please note, this will not tell you HOW to write a book, but simply the objectives for each step of writing your book.

In each module, I will provide a list of potentially helpful resources, as well as software recommendations (if applicable) and what I use.

Once you’ve finished your second draft, hopefully, you have a strong understanding of your story, your world, and what your characters are trying to accomplish. If you have achieved that, then the third draft should fly by rather quickly, all things considered.

Once again, I would repeat the steps of the second draft, with a split screen and a new document. Only this time, you will have the luxury of copying and pasting whole paragraphs, and maybe even pages. This draft is a split of rewriting, and editing, though it’s more like reworking. To be honest, you could do it in one document, and just read and rewrite, but I find that gets a bit messy, which is why I do it in different drafts. This draft should go by fairly quickly, depending on the quality of your second draft, and the goal is to have a book that plot-wise makes sense from start to finish by the time you are done.
